Did you know that our office space used to be the original church in 1959? It had a beautiful vaulted ceiling and hand-hewn beams, that later became our attic space when the new Sanctuary was built and the original chapel was converted into offices.
Well, we’ve decided to bring that beautiful structure back into the light and back to life! We’ve already sorted through all the old file cabinets and gotten rid of anything unnecessary, so that we can consolidate administrative space and make room for what we really need: A Social Hall! Drawings by our architect Michael Lewis are ready and are displayed at church. Come check it out! You’ll be amazed what we are planning! We’ve already started prep works for the heavy lifting, and hopefully by the Fall, we’ll be ready to have a Grand Opening celebration in our new gathering space!
And we are working on plans how to fill that Social Hall: with childrens’ programs, music, bible studies, potluck events, community outreach, inter-faith discussions and so much more – so stay tuned! Or better yet: visit us and contribute your ideas, and help us shape the future of our congregation and our community! As always, all are welcome!
