Join us for a special Family Fair with a Noah’s Ark bouncy castle, Pony Rides, a Story Teller, Face Painting, Music, Food and Fun! Check out our new Social Hall and the school premises, bring your friends, and meet new ones! We are located at 59 Grand Boulevard, right between Scarsdale and Eastchester.

Schedule:

Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Music and Food: from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Story Teller: 11 AM to 12 PM, so be there on time, don’t miss it!

Pony Rides: 1 PM through 2 PM.

All are welcome!

Grace Lutheran Church is a member of the ELCA. We welcome all religious and racial backgrounds, as well as all lifestyles. You don’t have to become a church member to come to Services and Holy Communion, or to participate in programs. Creative Playtime is Grace Lutheran’s longest running and most beloved ministry, a preschool for children 2 – 4 years of age. Check out www.creativeplaytimescarsdale.org for more info on the school. Or better yet, join us on May 21!

Join our Family Fun Nights!

Sunday, May 1st, 2011

April 30th was our second Youth Game Night, which was enjoyed so much by all generations that we decided to find a new name for this: Family Fun Night! While in March, we were still ‘confined’ to the Social Hall due to temperatures, we sure made good use of the church grounds last night! We played baseball and horse-shoes and tic-tac-toe outside, and board games and puzzles inside, and enjoyed food and fellowship together!

Our next Family Fun Night will be June 11. Check the calendar for details, or email us. All are welcome!

Sandwich Assembly Line picks up speed!

Sunday, May 1st, 2011

We are happy to support HOPE community services in New Rochelle with 100 – 120 sandwich meals once a month, consisting of a ham and cheese sandwich, a piece of fruit and a treat. We started in February, and are happy to report that we are starting to get the hang of it! Creative Playtime parents are also helping out, and in April, our Confirmation Class provided a whole additional session all by themselves! Kudos! Check the calendar section for dates, and join us! We usually get the coffee pot going, and have some goodies for the assembly line workers ready, too!

In memory of Rosa Seland

Sunday, May 1st, 2011

It was Rosa’s wish that at her funeral, donations in her memory should be made to the church, in particular for new chairs for our Social Hall. We needed chairs with arm-rests for our elderly members, and something a little more comfortable for everyone! (But still stackable!) Thank you so much to Rosa and her family and friends: here are some pictures of the result!
